New collaboration between Public Service Television and regional newspapersSince May 2010, Swedish regional papers Östersunds-Posten and Länstidningen Östersund have been collaborating with Swedish Television in getting regional public service TV news out to the audience. Content from the regional public service news channel is embedded in the newspaper sites.This is the first time Swedish public service television has collaborated with a commercial publishing house in this way. The viewers/readers have expressed great liking for the result. More people take part in local public service news, newspaper readers get access to more high quality local content and the newspaper site strengthens its role as a hub for local news, information and discussions.
