24Norrbotten Play – regional news shows for iPhone and iPad

Through a collaboration between three regional dailies – Norrbottens-Kuriren, Norrländska Socialdemokraten and Piteå-Tidningen – residents of nothern Sweden can now
get the latest updated local news in the form of a TV show directly to their iPhone or iPad – any time in the day, all year around.

Together, the three newspaper have started the news channel 24Norrbotten, a show which airs a 20-minute show with local weather, news, sports and commercials all throughout the day. This means that for the audience in the region, an up to date news broadcast is never more than 10 minutes away .

From the start, 24Norrbotten was distributed both as a regular TV-channel, via the terrestrial TV network, and on the web. The most recent development is that the show have also been launched in the form of a mobile application – 24Norrbotten Play. Via the application, readers/viewers can now access the latest show from wherever they are via their iPhone or iPad.
